JC Penney’s new ad for Father’s Day
The text reads:
“First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver—all rolled into one. Or two.” The text at the bottom reads: “Real-life dads, Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”

19. My last “teen” year. Bring it on.

The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell

The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell

(Source: bradisourking)

It’s hard to believe that a year went by in the blink of an eye. There were times where it felt like it would never end and times where I would have rather been anyone and anywhere else, but now it’s over. I’m packing up the last nine months of my life into boxes and suitcases, just like thousands of others. It’s a strange feeling. Home isn’t quite home anymore and what has become home is now…not. I board that plane in less than 48 hours to return “home,” leaving some amazing people for the next four months. The goodbyes seemed superficial to me, since I’m one of the last to leave, until tonight. Now it’s really sinking in. We’re all going somewhere for the next four months and we probably won’t see each other until September. It’s sad. I’m going to miss so many people, so many things that have happened this year. Even through all of the shit and through the bad times, this year has been an incredible experience. I can’t believe it went by so quickly. I can’t wait for the next three, though.

See you guys in September. For now, I’m grabbing my bags to head west.
